OT- Who is a mtbr MMA participant

I am not one, but I am a spectator and I am extremely knowledgeable about the sport.

If you are one, post up and let us know what your strengths/weaknesses and weight class. Also let us know the win/loss ratio.

    Pics??

To others, do you think it is a real sport or only a blood sport?

A true warrior never reveals his weakness.
I am alive, therefore I have won every fight.
It is not a sport unless there is blood.

I was a white belt in karate when I was 8.

0 win 10 or so losses in the school yard (the whole reason for karate).

Got that right, because about every useful technique is against the rules, but it can be entertaining to watch.

Which useful techniques? Choke holds, ground and pound, kick boxing, wrestling, leg and arm locks?

Retired, old school fighter from back when MMA was called NHB.
I fluctuated between light-heavy weight and Heavy weight. I was one of Pat Miletich's original instructors and fighters. I currently have a black belt on, with a silver buckle. I sometimes wear a brown belt with a gold tone buckle.

Awesome Rick. Hughes last fight was insane. He showed moves that I thought I would never see out of him.

    Any videos?

Out of all the guys I trained with, Matt was the one I tapped out the least. He is an incredible athlete. I think, in all the years I trained with him, I was only able to catch him maybe 2-3 times.

    I agree !

One of my original martial arts instructors used to teach Korean martial arts as well as American martial arts.

He taught Hapkido on the main floor and had a shooting range in the basement.

I have a bunch of my fights on DVD.
I've been out of it for awhile so I doubt you will find much online. I know there is still a video on u-tube that shows a young Jeremy Horn in his first ever bare knuckle NHB fight against a guy who looks a lot like me with hair ! It's so funny to watch now because neither of us knew how to fight at the time.

HAHAHHAHAA My computer at work doesn't show pictures here every so often so I pulled this up on my phone. I was there at that fight from that fight card. ahahaha so weird to see that. So how many fights have you done in HI? I've gone to almost all of them up to the point when I moved here to AZ. Those fights are now called super brawls. So fun to go to. There is always a fight in the crowd. The last BJ penn fight that super brawl hosted there was a huge fight during the BJ penn fight. Literally half of the arena was in a brawl!!! Freakn' awesome!

I'd have to say growing up watching boxing my whole life cuz my dad was a huge fan made it hard to understand/like MMA. Now that I understand it and the technique a little better makes it way more fun to watch. I guess just like anything else. Plus I got tired of all the bs in boxing over the past 10-15years.
