OT - Rain in the Southeast Causing Mountain Biking Havoc

Buddy of mine from Georgia sent this link, said it accurately captures what's going on in that area for mountain biking these past few weeks...

Very funny. We are looking forward to having some rain in AZ. Send some of your rain our way.

I'm living that dream myself currently.

Last year, St. Louis had one of the hottest, longest, driest summers on record. Now, it won't stop raining. Trails turn into mud pits, and they're pretty boring at this point anyway.

The thought of driving 50 miles, one way, to get to any trail, only to sweat like a pig in the humidity, get the bike covered in mud, and get myself covered in mosquito bites, ticks, and chiggers, it's just not that appealing. I'll just ride my single speed road bike on the greenway path. At least that's free and I'm not spending an hour in the car each way to get there.

It's true. I live in NY and it rains almost every day. I came down to NC for a week to see my daughter and ride but it is raining every day and all but one trail is closed all week. This sucks. Going home Saturday in the rain.

I needed that, I was actually looking at skinny tires longingly due to all this slop.
