    OT - Pet Turf

Anyone using Pet Turf or any synthetic grass for a dog run? I need to do something fast, my dogs are killing me with the dust they are bring in from there dog run. The turf seems like the "nicest" thing for them.

I have not personally....but hear it gets really, really hot in the summer. So much so that it can cause blisters on feet. Again...can't confirm it personally but it is sourced from a friend. Given my allergies...I was tempted to go that route too.

They would roll in the sand, then come in the house and get sand everywhere....I have 2 Boxers that "fight" non stop.

It's probably only 100 square foot area. So if the Turf is too expensive, I'll probably just have a ton of gravel deliveried.

i thought the new turf - the fake grass used at stadiums - doesn't get hot like the old stuff did? 100 sq ft of that wouldn't cost too much.

or just get an old peice of carpet - put a few inches of sand/gravel below it so you can hose it off and it will drain. carpet remnants are cheap.

Where can I score some of this? Is it cheaper than putting in sod?

this one is specifically for pets:

locally, there is Paradise Greens, Putter's Edge, AZ Greens, and AmeriTurf - probably more, too.

Paradise Greens has the pet turf and a location in Scottsdale.
