    OT: Movie editor question

My wife is doing a project for her dance class and needs a movie editor program. It is a bit short notice, and I am hoping that there are free movie editors available online. The person who was going to help bailed on the class, so I am hoping to be able to help. We have a good Windows computer, so I am not worried about system requirements. I know I can Google it, but wanted first hand experiences, so as to not waste time experimenting. We have several movie files to piece together, and want music in the background, and graphics (random text, etc) inserted during the video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    OT: Movie editor question

Free: Windows Movie Maker. Part of Windows Live Essentials. WMM won't run on my PC for some reason so I purchased Wondershare Video Editor for around $25 (online download). I really like it because its easy to use and I'm an idiot when it comes to that stuff

Free but very involved: Lightworks. Hardcore toolset if you care to learn your way around it.
