Opinion: the trails in Phoenix are terrible for aggressive snow riders.

I moved to Phoenix several years ago for a job and I think the trails in Phoenix suck for snow riding.

Im an aggressive mountain bikers who loves to shred the white stuff on my 6 inch bike with studded tires. I have ridden the majority of the trails in Phoenix and you know what? No snow. What gives?

Everyone said how awesome the trails are in Phoenix and I figured that since it snowed in Chicago, where I was from, it would snow in Phoenix but it hasn't snowed here once in the 7 years. Did I mention this place sucks for snow riding?

I guess if you like riding on rocks and stuff this place is fine. Hell you might even be able to ride aggressively on rocks if you try hard enough but this place has no snow flow. None at all.

See you out on the trails. I will be the hiker with snow shoes on.

I disagree, there was a storm in March that left 1 to 3 inches of snow in Cave Creek park (it was a Wednesday, but I forget which day)...

Some of the best snow riding I have ever done...

So Mo really sucks for aggressive downhill skiing. I have been waiting for years and can't ever seem to get more than few feet before my skis just get torn up.

But if it didn't snow at Sky Harbor it doesn't count

Needed about 1-2 more inches before the skis would start to work.

Have you considered mountain biking? I hear it's easier to roll over the rough SoMo DH trails with sharp switchbacks.

Again it did not snow at Sky Harbor so it did not snow period. Got it! You all have been in Phoenix long enough to know precipitation doesnt count otherwise.
