Any "old and slow" riding going on at PMP today? I'm open all day, but prefer to ride by 4pm. I need slow and fun to save my legs for bootleg canyon Fri. and Sat.

Most of the normal crew will be rolling around 3:45. My legs felt like noodles Tuesday. So I may even be slower than the normal slow.

Sometime after that for me. Maybe send your planned route by text. Thinking you guys will be heading to Lower Cheese via VOAZ so Markie can see of that BB shell is any stronger than his former ride.

The unfortunate soul that took the tumble, and broke both bones in forearm was me. Had surgery w/ plates and screws the next day. Should heal up fine, but off the bike for 3 months. Was the 3rd switchback going up VOAZ. Went over side of trail to the left, forearm wedged between a stump and rock, and snapped as body kept going. It's a bad spot to to lose it!!

As I went past that spot on VOAZ this evening I thought of you and your folly. Nasty place to spill. Spoke with Andy after the ride today and he mentioned you were out hiking after your surgery. Sorry you have to be off the bike. Glad it was not a neck or skull fracture.

Good ride tonight... but I need some help. Mark gets a new bike that is 6 lbs heavier and I'm thinking that we stand a chance now on keeping up with him on the climbs... Ah, that's a 'nega-tory'! He's now crushing the climbs on the new bike as well - Made it up all of VOAZ with only one dab.

I need more suggestions to slow this Caveman down!

Think I might have seen you guys in the lot before I left. I was a little steamed from getting a work call that cut 1/2 an hour off an already 1.25 hour ride and just hammered out for a quick one.

Doc- did I see you hiking with a bandaged left forearm? Anyway-my ride was pretty fun and easy. A month off the bike due to work and re-popping a dislocated rib a week ago put a damper on everything but sitting down! Looks like my travel schedule is going to decrease quite a bit over the coming months so I am getting pretty excited. I'll keep an eye out for Thursday.

One thing that had me laughing my rear off happened while packing up to leave at the 40th lot. Watching people hunker down in thier cars or driving circles waiting for a spot to open when they could park 100 yds away. Same thing at the gym- guess they gotta save that little bit of energy! (BTW- I sat in my car and ripped off about five texts while they all waited on me to back out.)

CSTEM we did see you, you did look preoccupied.
Technology is a wonderful thing and a natural progressing from Stumpy, Enduro, to SX has been good. All of them feel very similar as far as pedaling goes, do feel the extra weight but what a solid ride. It was a good choice for me.

I think I saw you again as I was Eastbound on 1a and you were hauling the freaking mail Westbound towards IRR and VOAZ. I got to the park bench and my ribs felt like they were sticking out my chest and through my jersey!

The bike hasn't slowed Mark down at all, if anything, he's even faster now. I think the next step is a tow strap, that way no matter the pace we at least arrive at the same time more or less.
