Nobby Nic 2.3, too much on front?

I was looking for a beefier front tire than a 2.1 Hutchinson Python 29" I was riding which seemed to wash out in the corners so I went to a 2.3 Nobby Nic. I typically ride in the McDowells, mostly Lost Dog, Sunrise, Gateway, Windgate and Bell. I am thinking I might have overdone it. The bigger tire seems to bounce me around in especially rocky terrain. Is there any way to compensate for this or do I need to get more of a smaller XC tire again? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

You need to lower the pressure it it is bouncing around.

For what its worth up until Saturday I was riding the same hills (albiet slower uphill) with a 2.7 Minion DH F on my Reign X. It was butter no matter the terrain and stuck to everything. Kept it around 26psi tubed.

I think anything less than a 2.35 ish (manufacturer variation) in front is narrow for me. I prefer wide ande and don't care about weight. Not sure why you are bouncing?

I run a 2.4 Nobby Nic on the front of my Yeti ASR-7 and I've noticed that with lower PSI the tire seems to bounce all over the place, and wash out when the terrain gets loose... Try upping the psi a bit, and see how that works for you. Personally, I've been running at 35 and it seems to be the sweet spot for that tire

I'll mess around with the PSI and see if I can get it figured out. Thanks for the help!

Also, play around with your rebound. If you're bouncing around, might need to slow the rebound some.
Nobody gives a s#$t you singlespeed.
