I recently bought an aluminum Bronson. I liked it so much, I ordered a carbon frame, which isn't due in until mid-October. I made a tactical error by listing my current frame for sale and it sold immediately. This left me with no everyday bike.
My bike stash was diminished and the only thing left was my Transition Blindside mini-DH rig.
So happens this frame will take a front derailleur. Spent yesterday swapping in a 2x10 setup I had, longer stem, SPDs. Took it out for a spin at PMP this morning.
It's a bit short in the TT and tough to get proper seat extension. With 7 inches of coil and about 37 pounds, it pedals surprisingly well on smoother trail. Not much of a technical climber, but you'll get a workout.
Crazy fun and fast on the downs. I mean, wicked fast.
Rode from 40th and climbed Cheesegrater, then blasted down Upper Hairball and Irregular. Not something I'd want to pedal around all the time, but I had a blast on it.
