Might be heading to Prescott this weekend Where should I ride?

Might be heading up out of the heat with my family this weekend and will want to make the most of the trip and get a good ride in, any thoughts on where I should go?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. We are staying at a cabin a bit south west of Prescott so I will have to see if I can get there..

My son and I were up there a couple of months ago and loved it. There are trail maps of the area that are very good. I picked one up at a trail head for free and bike shops have them.
    Enjoy the weekend!

You have lot's of great options, stop by Ironclad bike shop and get on of the local maps. Then ride up to White Spar Camp and ride the trails around there for starters. 296? I think is the main one, fun trail. I would join you but I am heading to Payson this weekend. have a great time.

Just curious, FS web site state most Granite Basin trails closed due to Doce fire?

Anyone know if they are open/closed?

That's a good point. Many of the Granite Basin trails are in fact still closed from the fire.

Mint Wash (345), Balancing Rock (350), and Mint Wash Connector (352) are still closed and marked.

Was out at GB Thursday AM and was a bit damp in places from all of the rain here in Prescott but not muddy with death mud.
