Lights! I need new lights! Does anyone have any recommendations for someone not interested in 24 hr races anymore, just the occasional 3-4 hour night ride?

I'm not going to be the first to recommend them: Magicshine. A lot of light, for a very small price.

I REEAAALLLLLLY like my Trail Tech lights. Bright as all hell. Rode with them A LOT when I lived in Florida.

The Magicshine's are low priced lights. If you are looking for a better quality light with a lifetime warranty, consider the Baja Designs Stryk line.

July 7 and August 18 are scheduled for Comp Loops. Wish a few more were there.

    The Newspaper is reporting this:

Maricopa County residents can now hike into the evening at county parks.

Starting this month, trails in the Parks and Recreation Department's 10 parks will stay open after dusk until 8 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays.

On Fridays and Saturdays, the trails will remain open until 10 p.m.

McDowell Mt. Park is one of the Maricopa County parks on the list, so I'm guessing you could use the trails, any of the trails in the park until 10 pm on a Fri. or a Sat.

At least that is the way I understand the information provided.

Sunset just before the ride started and another shot looking east over the verde. Too bad the sunflower fire is smoking up all the air. Fun ride! Thanks to the organizers, the shop that provided brats and soda/beer and the guys who put it in the big ring on the way down from the granite tank!
