Oops! Link fixed. Here is the tread on the MS battery recall replacements - http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=706664skinny-tire said:I think these are the same links.
I just sent mine in last week. Hoping to have them back before the 12 hrs of Prescott race. In the interim, I have a POS NiteRider HID (which I could have bought 8 MSs for), and a minewt.
Or, you can drop it off at a place that recycles batteries (I dropped mine off at Radio Shack). But yes, they need to be sent before they will replace. They don't want you using them, so they need something to encourage you to stop using.bRyAZSig228 said:So you have to send the defective battery first to get a replacement?
Do it now or risk being turned into a rolling ball of trail fire!chollaball said:based on the wave, i think i will sit tight for awhile until some of the dust settles.
I'm doing all morning rides so you can use my trinewts until your batteries come in.MyBike'sBroken said:I sent mine in last week. Hopefully, it won't be too long. I don't want to have to go back to using my old HID light.
 Those replacement battery packs look interesting!PhxChem said:While I know no one wants to spend any more money to use lights they already paid for, Balistic Batteries has relatively inexpensive packs for the MS while you're waiting....

Plus, he's local......(assuming BB is a he).....
Also, as you can see from the link, he carries larger capacity MS batteries. Based on the part #s, I'm guessing the "upgrade" battery is 5200 mAh and the "super capacity" is 7800 mAh (compare with the standard MS battery at 4400 mAh/4500 mAh).
I did get one of these for Old Pueblo in Feb....worked great. They went out of their way (met me on my way out of town next to the freeway) to get me the battery in time for the race.....great service.  :thumbsup:PhxChem said:While I know no one wants to spend any more money to use lights they already paid for, Balistic Batteries has relatively inexpensive packs for the MS while you're waiting....
