Looking for some good trails in the Pine area

Im heading up to Pine in a few weeks and I wanted to know if there was any trail that anyone would recommend. Also what kind of trails do they have there. DH, AM or XC. I saw the tread about the new trail being build up there but I have no clue if its done or where its at.

Pine trailhead will take you to highline trail below the rim. If my ride a couple weeks ago on Houston Bros and Barbershop is any indication, be ready to encounter lots of winter deadfalls. Highline is full of rocks and other obstacles. Very challenging until it gets cleaned up in summer. Even then a challenging ride. Most rides around the rim are doable on a good XC bike. I ride a rigid 29er SS on them.

Houston Bros and General Crook trails are off FR 300 on top of the rim. A pretty short trip from Pine and much nicer riding.

    Good luck!!
If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains,
    you're lucky enough.

Google Fire on the rim mtb race and look at that route, be careful some of that is on private land and I think ipa90 or 90IPA is from that area so he/she may have lots of info. Also the new owner Hike, Bike and run or Bicycle Adventurers will have some info for you. Let us know what you find. Have fun
