Looking for a new AM bike, best bike shops in Scottsdale?

I recently moved to Scottsdale (from Sweden) and since I didn't brought my bike over here I'm looking for something new and looking for some recommendations for a place to start looking.

I brought most of my gear so I'm basically just looking for a new bike. Buying is online is of course an option but I would like to look and try before I buy.

I haven't really gotten the chance to go out much yet but I understand the riding around here is pretty spectacular and will fit my taste for am pretty well.

Sorry if this is a questions many times answered in this forum, I searched around but didn't really find anything..

Go to Rage Cycles. Buy a Pivot Mach 6. You're Welcome.

PS. Welcome to AZ. Best riding in the west.

Thanks. That's really close to my office and probably exactly the bike I'm looking for.

Welcome to AZ! I am an XC guy, so not sure where to steer you. The others recommended some solid shops, and are AM riders from what I can tell.

XC rider as well, Rage hooked me up with my Les.

They had it built up in 3 days.

They had an all carbon + x0 mach 6 in the shop... might be a little out of my price range though...

Rage - been loyal to them for years now. Rage is a high-end shop used to working on customizations. They might not have everything in stock, but will work with you as needed. fair price and all the support I might need - they are reasonable about competing vs. internet prices as long as you are reasonable about them being an LBS and perhaps wanting something ordered.

As you move north into scottsdale the shops get more tri- and road oriented, or there are franchises that I don't think are so hot, so I would generally avoid them.

Sunday is a good shop and Joe is a good guy, but they are less convenient from Scottsdale.

Another +1 for Rage. Went over and above my expectations on a recent problem with my fork and saved me some serious coin. Money never seems like the main goal when working with the guys there but getting you out on the trail and happy with your service matters more.

Anyone has anything to say about Kore? They seem to be all about custom builds which might be the way to go for me after all.

Trailhead Bike Cafe is a Pivot dealer and more importantly, the head mechanic, Joey Daigneault is one of the best mechanics in town, and in the region. He is the mechanic for VeloWorx MTB, which is one of the better race teams here. He will set you up right. You can also enjoy tasty pastries while you wait, freshmade on premises.

No, I don't work there. Or really even go there that much, so, there's always that.

Bought my Pivot at rage, good guys. If you want a Santa cruz the Bronson is pretty sweet and you won't find a better deal than at Airpark bikes in North Scottsdale.
