Late notice: Goldfield Mtn ride today 9am

Time for a new ride today (12.31.12) to bring this year to a close. Location: Goldfield Mtns. not to be confused with Gold Canyon!! I'm planning on a short loop in the 10-12 mile range. MTBikeAZ was kind enough to share some beta. Relaxed pace.

Meeting time: 9am at the start of this track:

Directions to the 'S' on the track: US60 exit @Idaho Rd & head north, right on McKellips, left on Wolverine, right on Tonto, left on Cactus, follow the road to the right & park in the trailhead parking.

I haven't been, but based on what I've heard nothing above intermediate skills level. There's not much elevation gain, so I'm assuming a more XC experience.

I was planning on riding mcdowell mtn later today and seeing how its 830 I doubt ill get out of the house before 10. So maybe next time with more notice. I'm new to AZ but looking fwd to meeting new people.

thinking about the 12hrs of papago and the MBAA races coming up. but 12hrs is on the 12th and the 1st MBAA race at mcdowell is the 13th. I've never done a 12hr so not sure if ill be too tired to run again the next am but I think i might give it a try.

Thats a nice riding area; mostly fairly decent horse trails, and lovely country. lots of double track too; with occassional motorized creatures.
I know the area well, and can show you some nice trails; another time.
