    Kelly Pocket in Flagstaff

    Yes I did a search.

I was hoping if any locals have a cool way to connect to kelly pocket for a longer loop or out and back. The more singletrack involved the better.

I have lived and biked here for years, know pretty much every trail in flag and sedona but this one.

For some reason I have just never ridden it, and nobody I ride with has any good info either.

Any specifics would be much appreciated and worthy of free beer if we should ever meet.

ST heading SSW out of Ft. Tuthill takes you to the eastern entrance to Kelly Pocket...a bit of hardball involved......

Raybum's been doing a few rides through there, he can give more details on a big loop through the area.

I just picked up a .gpx file for what looks like a nice, albeit short, 8 mile loop. I can send you that if you'd like.

    Goat,
I did this 2 weeks ago, following Ray's route in the link below, which Maad describes. It was my favorite part of the ride. I too would like to know how to make that a several hour loop from Flag and back - post up please if you discover more.

Here are a few pics. I didn't ride any of the features since I was on a loaded bike and alone, but they looked like good fun:

Thanks folks. I will figure out a way to use these .gpx files and figure out something. I was thinking of starting at woody mt road. Riding the new(ish) section of the flagstaff loop trail to Ft. Tuthill. and going from there.

Motochick, I have a brief lull in my work schedule and may be riding this tomorrow. This will work well as a test ride as I will be making some changes to my rear suspension set up tonight.
