If you could have any 3 types of mtbs...one of which is not a hard tail...what would they be?
Someone has the wrong bike on order...I think he said types of bikes.
So....
1) Short travel 29er with low/slack/long front/short rear geometry (ie Following, M429 Trail, RipleyLS,)
2) Trail/AM 27.5 with 140-160mm of rear travel for all around agressive riding/trip bike (ie Knolly Warden, Ibis HD3, GG megatrail, Turner Burner, Mach 6)
3) Big hit AM/Enduro/FR 26er or 27.5 with 160-180mm rear travel for parks and more gnarly terrain, but that can still be pedaled (Knolly Chilcotin, Liteville 601, Nomad, and couple that don't exist... New 27.5" Delirium or 27.5" RFX )
No need for a DH bike since no lift served trails within 250 miles.... but if I lived close to a resort then that would take the place #3.......maybe).
With the wide range of capabilities of each of the examples in my three categories there's a ton of overlap so I really think it would be overkill to have three bikes.... but if I had to have three, that's what I'd do.
