Well, less hairy at any rate.
Gotta love those ambush shots. And Walt, really? You just HAD to put my nails on blast? HAD to go there? SO dead to me. The nails were an intended distraction from the fact that my glasses did not match my helmet. Which, btw, is the reason I a$$-planted on Twisted Sister: My chi was off that night because of it.

But the beer sure was good. ;-) Before, during, and after.

I haven't reported my missing credit card to the police because whoever stole it is spending less than my wife.

Riding the Hawes trail is always fun but doing so at night is funner--yes it is a word. I've always done it though on the full moon with no lights-maybe I should fork over a couple bills and get me a proper night light....hmm, we'll see.

    Looks fun.

Joe's bike looks way too short for his stature.

I'll have to try Hawes at night...way over-rated in the daylight so maybe nightlight is what it needs.
Why would I need more than one gear?

That was a great ride. Nice meeting you Deanna and "Old" Dave.

I sure miss living on that side of town and being down the street from Hawes.

Cool Young Dave, nice to meet you too. I heard you guys had a good time after the ride also, maybe next time I'll be able to join you. Until next time.

Actually, that was my favorite part of the ride! Riding alone. I let the boys rough-house on the more tech parts and split off to some more skin-friendly areas of the trail, and lemme tell you, riding alone in the dark is a dirty little adrenaline rush! Totally dug it! The mind is an powerful thing. My pace was better than ever.

you up for Tower Trail at night dude? Alex and I hit that last week, it was sketchy at the end - we took the loop clockwise - but a ton of fun. We climbed from the very bottom of the outside loop all the way to the top of Tower - not a route I do often, but about 1400 feet. very cool. Drinks at his place, then i rolled down the hill.

steep, tight, a bit dangerous - nothing you haven't done on Bell or Sunrise. You gotta climb Upper Hawes to get there, then catch much air on the way back down.

The last time I was up there it was uber loose at the top. The steepest/tightest stuff is the first half after you drop in from the towers and there's 1 steep/loose chute in that section. The rest is just fun. The best way to get there is to ride Hawes/Twisted Sister/Big Rock/Wild Horse out to Usery Pass road and then ride up the road to the towers and down to make a big loop that ends with the fun downhill.
