    GPX File Library

Many folks have asked me for gpx files of rides I've done over the last few years. I had a bit of time to burn so I created a GPX file library where you can download and follow them on your GPS of choice. The index file, "RideFilesV1.xls" contains the file names, distance, vert, and a brief description of the ride. You'll want to download that or print it out. Here's the link to that and all the GPX files...
    https://drive.google.com/?tab=wo&aut...TdOdzAtMjQ5cTg

The rides contain mainly ones I've done and is certainly not meant to contain every ride in AZ. If you have any you'd like to add, send me the GPX file, a brief description, and I'll include it.

    cheers and happy riding.
    Ray

Ray, nice work. I'll sift through my library of files & help populate the collection.

great idea ray. An improvement (and to keep you nag-free) would be to put a similar public share like this, where anyone could upload but could not delete. I just did a quick test and Google Drive does not seem to support that granularity, nor Dropbox. There must be some sort of public file repo that does this... how I long for the simpler days of anonymous FTP sites with ratios. For music. I don't share my porn.

Let me know if you want GPX files for Vegas. I've got them for pretty much everything here but nowhere near as nicely organized.

Hopefully not stepping on any toes here.

Absolutely don't want to get into a web site battle, and have no agenda for promoting the site, but it might be worth a try uploading your rides to this site: MTB Project | The Evolution of Mountain Biking Trail Maps and Guides

It just launched recently and it seems more trail/guide oriented as opposed to the more community-related vibe over here at mtbr.
    Maybe complementary rather than competing.

No worries SM...I'm not making any $ off this or have any hidden agendas. Another friend of mine asked me why I didn't use something like TrailFu which seems kinda similar to that site. I'm OK with those but I guess I find that they tend to not get populated with very many rides. Not sure why other than people feel like there's really nothing in it for them to hand off their gpx file and the time it takes to input it. Being the control freak I am (lol), I liked the idea of being a sort of administrator for the database of rides. Kinda old skool for sure, but if it helps a few people and they send a note of appreciation, I'll feel it was time well spent.

Hey Ray... totally understand. I haven't done much other than to sort of do a surface tour of that site, so I don't know if it's good or bad or what. Just saw it pop up recently and figured I'd make the suggestion in case someone checked it out and thought it was cool. I appreciate wanting to keep some control over your content. No worries. Good on ya for contributing to others riding!! Cheers.

Off Topic, but Greg, are you still making those awesome maps of local areas? I'd love to see what you've been up to if so.

    Contributing to drift... sorry Ray!

Um...yeah, sort of... I dabble with them when I have a little time. Slow process.
I actually had the PMP one printed in 20"x30" a few months ago.
Slapped a cheap WallyWorld frame on it and hung it on the wall.

No worries Greg...totally cool map! Gonna be moving down near PMP soon and one of those might just be the ticket for a wall in the man cave.
