So I decided to take the Monocog to the White Tanks and hit the comp tracks this afternoon. But on the way up Olive the Antennas kept taunting me “Do it, do it” so I hit the goat. I made pretty good time (for me). The 36-20 I was running was a little too hard, I think I need to get a 33 or 32 up front for that ride. I was about 20 yards from the turn around point before the gnar and my left pedal flew off…WTF! The pedal was cross threaded and stripped out the threading, greaaat….It wasn’t going back in either, so it was MacGyver time. Luckily I had my chain breaker tool, worked pretty damn good for the down hill. I pushed it up any of the steep stuff, just so I wouldn’t break it.
