    Good job! Friday Slacker Ride

Craig from UT, SL and I are riding BCT from the Soap Creek trailhead to the top of the Little Pan. We are shooting for an 8am start. The ride should be 20-24-ish miles and have 5-6 miles of new trail. Anyone interested?

Su is in the process of making a map to the new trailhead so we will post it later.

    Maybe......

Because I am, in fact, a slacker. I can only commit to a "maybe" at this point.

    Map

Okay, the map is somewhat crude as there wasn't alot of info available at hand. So I just had to give you all a hack map. I had to draw in the actual road that the trailhead is on using really crappy air photos.

Parking is limited and is basically the wide spot in the road. I can't even remember if the road has sign on it. It's a dirt jeep road but you won't need 4x4 as we are only going in approx 1/2 mile or less.

Also coming from Mesa and definitely interested in carpooling. Let me know, 480 247-2286.

And thanks for the map SuLing. Suspect I'll be able to find it ok, but if anyone has a waypoint for the trailhead it would add a little assurance.

can anyone here advise me as to the passibility of the dirt road out of Black Canyon City to the trailhead? suling says its a jeep road.....wondering if it's an improved dirt road....or a rutted jeep trail. Considering taking my new ride to the trailhead and carpooling if possible....otherwise I'll need to arrange some other mode of transpo

I dunno about the road. Totally smooth? I can't recall whether or not it is smooth. We have a high clearance vehicle so I never bothered to look. It is graded, but looks like you have low clearance on that baby.

Hey Walt look at it this way... someone has to keep working or the whole country will fall into bankruptcy. Lucky for these guys isn't really luck at all. I hope to keep my job during all this turmoil we're going thru.

I have to bail Jeff, work calls. Have fun. I try to be a slacker most of the time, but sometimes duty calls.

... and if we just ... It's good to be a slacker!

Craig, James #1, James #2, SL and I rode 26-ish miles with 4K of elevation. Trail was in great shape as usual. The new section the pro crew was working on today is mouth watering

What a great day for a BCT adventure. I was bummed that I had to bail early but my cold was reeking havoc. Thanks for checking up on me!

I passed you all as you were almost to the rock springs trail head entrance. I was taking a newbie out from work who seemed to be pretty hooked after the ride, lol. He kept talking on how he liked the scenery so much more then the T100 he was use to. It was a great day and the weather was perfect.
