Not brakes . . . fd/rd. . . chewed up a rock and it split my front cable down the middle so I replaced them myself for the first time. Shifts fine, nice and smooth. Now just gotta bleed the front brake or find a new one.

6:30 where? 46th? That's the Javelina start right?

Great ride guys. . . Natty down to Mormon and then Javelina. I got my crash out of the way early on yet another easy section and cleared everything else. 6 had a little sit down talk with his tire for a while, that was the only trouble.

Having that beast (the bike, not 6) behind you is slightly unnerving, you can definitely hear it coming, followed by earth tremors as it nears.

Hell yeah, good mornin'! Started off right with a good cupa joe and a pb&j. We all shuttled up to the top and got to see the sun come up over the ridgeline. Ripped down the trail, nailed all the fun stuff and ripped the trail a new one. Hard to keep up with nannerb, just flows so smooth. Truckee was hot on my heels and monster truck six bringing up the rear until he passed me on upper poligamist only to blow out a sidewall and get passed in return. It was a good place to take in the brown cloud. Finished up javy(mucho divertido) with truckee keeping me honest on the pedal sections. Went back to b.s. to meet up with grefster and crimson to head back up for a geronimo rip. Best G-run ever! Laced every switchback and shredded so hard that my roco blew a seal. I was kinda sketchy with my bailing wire brake spacer but worked just fine. Photobucket

Just got back from my second ride today (hit t100 with dog and lady) now it's off to Mastros to wine and dine and stare at all the yuppies. Gotta dig up a pair of shoes though, all have are bike shoes, hiking shoes and ratty sandles. At least I have black biking socks to wear underneath. . .

Only place to get that shock rebuilt is Marzocchi (hope they cover the warranty) or Push, which is about $185.

Push probably would be the quicker option, they usually turn stuff around same week if they are not backed up. Marzocchi, well thats at their leisure...

I had my Roco TST in at Marzocchi for 11 weeks at one point this summer

I ended up buying a second shock so that I could just constantly have one being rebuilt...

Truckee, we put in some extra runs for you today! Another good weekday mornin'. It was like the hikers were allergic to the trail or sumthin'. Only one that was standing off the trail watching us blaze through. Good riding with rich and the infamous doodoo again. Doo was so stoked at the end of the trip it was bubbling out of his toyota. Brennan and gref had a little high speed train runnin' down the mountian. 24th was the bomb as always and b found out with his tire...booom! Not much carnage today except for gref losing his chain on geronimo only to free wheel it the rest of the way. "Chains, what are chains?" Crimson showed up for the last two g runs and ripped them both. That trail keeps getting faster and faster for me. Luv it! Doodoo thanks again for that extra shuttle to the top. Enjoy some more media.

Today was awesome for shuttling. No hikers and pure speed all morning long. Bob thanks for the media. I wasn't planning on putting the Jedi up but oh well. hahahahaha....
Now I just got to get back in to riding shape and then hopefully I an hang on better on the bike. But for now it's slow and steady.

The Jedi felt awesome!!! Even though I did no tuning today, it rode perfect! It was better than any review I have read and better than I could ever imagine! I think once I really get the rear shock tuned it's gonna be so much better. That rearward path is awesome it just gets faster and faster on any hits it takes. I have been so use to rock gardens slowing me down cause the old bike couldn't handle the hits well. But with this "Wat rok gardens?" is all going through my mind.

Saturday shuttles is in effect boyz!!!! any body down??? The only catch I won't be able to hit the mountain till about 10am. Then Sunday is Silent Sunday so anybody care to pedal up the mountain. I am thinking sleeping in then hitting the trail at around 1-2pm.

I needed a new set of brakes.

I had a coupon for eBay that expires soon, so I figured I'd use it.

I am sure Kavu will sell you his Fox 40, he has ridden it 3 times, which means he is more than likely done with it.

I'm stoked for some less rocky riding.

Just a FYI, instead of touching up the paint on your fork just do what I do and get new lowers everytime you scratch them. Then you can change the color of the fork to match your mood

    I you Sixty.

The 40 is part of a top secret program to build a bicycle capable of faster than light speeds, using 3 rotating magnetic fields to focus a narrow beam of gravitons, which in turn fold space until the space time curvature becomes infinitely large and you produce a singularity...

He's buying the new "drunk lense", it will help when he's cruising sodomy gulch for "riding partners".

That would be best performed with the 40 in oz. form not in fork form I think?

Um, so lets see, your taking the drive train of the GT, the front half of the Bullit, mixing in the a$$ end of the Karpiel (complete with cracked links) and putting the 40 and your new Codes on it?
