Free Jawbone Up band if you are in Phoenix

Hi everyone, new to the forums. I live near PMP and ride there a lot. I wanted to pass this on because I'm trying to help out a friend of mine. He's a professor at ASU downtown campus who got a grant from Jawbone to study the accuracy of their UP fitness band.

A bunch of people have gone through the study already but he still needs women 5'10" and taller and Men 6' and taller that are 200lbs+ (I may try the Clydesdale forum but need PHX ppl)

    Here's the info if interested.

You are invited to participate in an activity and sleep tracking study!

What does a participant have to do?
-Qualify for study by completing a standard questionnaire
-Be willing to participate in a 2 hour test session on the Downtown ASU campus involving various physical activities including sitting, standing, and walking
-Wear sensors that measure your activity level and sleep for 4 consecutive days

More information about the study can be found by viewing this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVLTAhfyWlI&feature=youtu.be

How will I be compensated for my time?
All participants will receive a Jawbone Upô band valued at $130.00

Individuals interested in participating in this study should complete a brief survey here:

I've been wearing an UP band for about a month now. Pretty neat little tool.

That would be great for the study sign up for sure. They won't track any of your sleep though, that's just for you. The key is how accurately does it measure the stride of someone. And there is a difference between a 5'5" person and one over 6'2". I'm 6'3" and it has been very accurate.

It would record how much time users spend on mtbr, the number of beers next to their keyboards, and their aggressive reactions to trolls.

I go Wednesday at 730am. It says to wear sneakers, and bring the dress shoes I wear most often. I wear sneakers and flip-flops unless I have to go to a funeral or wedding. Hmmmm....

Bring your wedding ones. They will look good with your shorts & t-shirt. Make sure you pull your black socks up to your knees so they get an accurate stride count.
