Ever say, "Man I wish I had a photo of that one?"

My friend Chris Grove from Flagstaff shows how it's done. This was at the MBAA team race at McDowell last weekend.

He's a great guy and very experienced mtb racer. (Former AZ and CO Cat 1 masters state champ.) I'm sure he would approve of my posting it. After the crash the first thing he did was ask the photographer if he got it. He did get scraped and bruised pretty good. Amazingly enough he did keep his face out of the dirt. It was nothing compared to the broken pelvis/hip he got after being kicked off his bike by a horse during a race in Guatemala last year.

    Wow. lol. Love it.
Print and frame it, give it to him for Christmas. If that were me, I'd send wallet size to all my friends and family.

Ouch...I took a digger like that 4 weeks ago except my inside arm ended up between my ribs and the ground.
    It still hurts to sneeze.

Did the horses on course have anything to do with this one?

There isn't an action photo of the horse kicking him, but I've seen photos of the aftermath. I'll see if I can get permission to post it.

That's ok. I was just kidding. I'm sure it was pretty bad.

I'm more into video...but yes, I do wish somebody had some sort of footage when I take a good digger and walk away...
The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you’ll crash.
