Man that thing is hidious! Hate the color, the fact that it's a 29er and that it's an SS.

So where are we SSing this weekend on our blue bikes?
Why would I need more than one gear?

Is that based on Thursday night's ride? Good to meet you last night.

BTW, that's a nice looking ride!

Just a couple of dirty pics...

    dirty bike that it...

Got drizzled on today... Funny thing happened during the ride. I had my CamelBak resting on the top tube while I dug around inside one of the compartments looking for a tool. Next thing I know my crotch is completely soaked! Guess my leg had squeezed the bite-valve and let some H2O gush out all over my shorts... I had my Nano blaring and didn't realize the hikers behind me as I flowed a verse of obscenities...

I like it. A lot. I'm completely outnumbered though, everybody seems to be grabbing a Salsa, as of late.

I think I'm the only one left, on a Surly.

It went well... 1.5 hours to lace it up (had Sheldon Brown's print out next to me). About 2.5 hours to tension and adjust roundness and true the wheel. Had to re-dish and then true it again but so far it is holding up well. The intimidation of building your own wheels is gone though (for now). I'm excited about the next wheelset!

Sounds very similar to my first wheel building experience. I also had Sheldon Brown's text sitting on the table when I built my first wheel and found the process to be very satisfying.
