Car top rack - free to a good home

So I drove my wife's road bike into the garage while it was still mounted on the car top rack. This is not the first time I've done this sort of thing and I'm just done with car top racks. State Farm bought me a new hitch mounted rack, so this thing is just taking up space in the garage.

The Thule that was on my car came out of this in surprisingly good shape. One tray was snapped in half, but I have an extra one (older model) to replace it. The cross bars, air deflector and feet look OK. A couple of the clips are bent - but would need to be replaced to put this on another car anyhow.

So, essentially, I have a Thule roof rack that could be made fully functional with a minimal cash outlay - much less than the $500 required to put that all together new.

PM me if you want it or know anyone who does. All you need to do is schlepp out to Rio Verde and come take it out of my garage.

I can come pick it up if it's available. It looks like it'd fit on my Altima.

    We can arrange a time.

Btw, it was on a GTI, so will definitely fit an Altima.

Car top rack - free to a good home

I had roof racks for fifteen years with no problems but several near misses including a Bank of America drive-thru that seat slid under top with zero clearance... Just plain luck.

I developed a system to ALWAYS put garage door opener in glove compartment whenever I put bikes on roof. This worked pretty well. Easy to remember on the way out that on the way home.
