Cactus Bike Group Ride 2/20 Shuttles for Kore Benefit

    Hey guys,

So as many of you know there is a benefit being held this weekend to help out Ryan and Sara from Kore and the unfortunate situation that has unfolded. BIG props to all the characters who played a role in organizing this, such as Crazy J, Benko, ShortbusJames, and many others. There will be shuttles all day on Somo with proceeds going toward the benefit and then a party at night. One of the benefits of dedicating your life to the awesome but non-lucrative business of owning a bike shop is you have quite the community to stand behind you. So come out to Scorpion Gulch this Saturday and get your ride on while donating to the cause to help out a family that has done so much for the riding community. This is not a Cactus Bike ride, or a DH ride, or a shuttler ride, it is a ride your bike to save a life ride. Come out...no matter what you ride.

I'll find out today, whether I'll be working on Saturday, or not. If not, I'll be there with the trailer, and whatever else I can do to help out.

Take the Central Ave entrance into the park. After the rumble strips and after the road starts to curve to the west, you will park in the first lot on your right. The lot is surrounded by chain link fence and is across the street from a horse stable and old buildings, one of which says "Scorpion Gulch".

Unfortunately I have to work this Saturday and Rachelle has plans, otherwise the ShortBus would be helping out.
I will however extend the fundraising effort to shutttles this Sunday.
If you can't make it out Saturday or just want to ride/support more, come out for Sunday Shuttles at 7am at Scorpion Gulch.
Hope to see you at Kore on Sat night or on SoMo Sunday Morning.
Now I DRIVE the short bus!!

    Help increase ShortBus' rep

Just got the o.k. to be out there sat. mornin'. Not sure if the van will be out of the shop, but it sounds like we'll have lots of up lift options. If I don't bring a ride, I'll be happy to pitch in with the driving and donations. Looking forward to bringing the little man out to the party early to see some sweet bmx action

Had a great morning on the hill with some super stoked bros!!! We over 30 riders at it's peak shredding in the light rain that made the trails oooooooh sooooooo sweeeeeet!!! Everyone threw down some cash for the cause...thanks guys!!! There were BBQ's and brewski's...stogies and coffee and most importantly of all....shredding The burgandy had a good crew with some new peeps up from the Old Pueblo. I finally got to ride with some other bros that I've only passed on the trail. Even got to shuttle a few Unicyclists... Plus I got to break a part on my bike on every trail We had a 32 rider train running down natty to 32nd...that's gotta be a record. Thank god it was raining or otherwise there would've been some ticked off hikers having to wait for us. But all in all, the whole day turned out sick for a good cause. Make sure you all get to the party tonight at Kore...it's gonna be wicked

    Here's some pics:
