    BCT De-Clawing NOV2-3

November 2-3 Sonoran Expeditions MTB is hosting a 2-day camping trip to help cut back the Cat Claw and other scratchy/pokey things along the trail. We will host camp with a fire and BBQ for volunteers and provide shuttling to the sections of trail we're most concerned with; namely antelope to Gloriana and all the Bumble Bee in between.

We will be camping on the BLM land across the way from Bumble Bee Ranch. Bring your bike, work gloves and pruning sheers (and maybe some post work brews). We'll provide burgers and beans and such, and as mentioned shuttling bikes and bodies to gloriana and to the ol' Cordes hill top (Antelope).

    Who's in?

    Cheers! Rob

Rob, Please contact Bob with the Black Canyon Trail Coalition regarding any trail work along the BCT. Use the email link on the BCT website. The BCTC can use any volunteer hours for matching grants and we can use all the hours we can get. Also, the BLM needs to know that you are working on the trail, which might be stipulated in your special use permit.

All of the paperwork is in order, Epic. Are you going to make it out?

We're meeting at Bumble Bee BLM camp on Saturday morning around 10. This is located on the west side of Bumble Bee Road 5-miles north of Gloriana Mine TH.

After a brief meeting and orientation we will begin the de-clawing of Black Canyon Trail from Antelope Canyon south to Gloriana Mine.

Please bring work gloves, pruning sheers, sunscreen, hydration and other essential items to get you through a hard weekend of work out doors.

Sonoran Expeditions will provide diner saturday night around the campfire including burgers, brats, beans and potato salad.

Please BYOB and bring your own sleep kit.

Gotta say, after all of the complaining about cat claw on the trail on this forum I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest. Please get out and volunteer... your trails need you!
