    BC Heli Biking Vid

Here is a vid of my recent trip to BC. Unfortunaely in all of the "production" and converting from one format to another, it cut out about 2 mins of riding. That said, if you are in Whistler and have the chance, check out Blackcombe aviation for a heli bike trip. It is WELL worth it! Enjoy Here is the link.

That looks like serious fun. The rest of us ride at 5am to avoid the AZ heat!

$300 for a one way ticket up the mountains and then 1-2 hours of some rediculously beautiful and technical riding. Everything from forest to meadow to glaciers. worth every dime. If you have to sell plasma and semen for two years to do it, it is worth it! The riding got cut out of it when I converted it so I may recut and post the riding portion of it. Be on the look out and if you are headed up there, check out Bear back riding or call Blackcombe Aviation. Cheers!

$300 a piece is a pretty good deal for the use of 2 A-stars? Or did they use just 1. Was the dude doing the longline with the bikes empty with pax?
Pretty awesome being able to get up in elevation in a quick flight. Did you guys have guides?
That would be a sweet job! Hmmm, might have to look into to that for next year? I'm sure they need a mech.
    Cool vid.

i'd be tempted to just spend the afternoon doing low level flight zooming around mountainsides...
that was $300 per group, right,, not per person?

I bet it's per person. $300 USD or Canadian?

Thats $300 apiece. The operating cost for those heli's are spendy.

Just loaded 2nd part in the original post. Hope you enjoy. As for the cost, it's $300 per person. Helimech, when they long lined the bikes, the bird was empty(no passengers). They used one bird to shuttle bikes and about 3-4 loads of people(5 per trip). We were the first to go and we could see the helicopter making more runs on the way down the mountain. It was only about 5 min flight to the LZ. It was indeed guided and they indeed have a sick job. They said that they do that in the summer and then in the winter fly down to New Zealand and do the same thing down there. That's living life right there!

Working on my semen deposit right now!

Hey what happened at 2:44 in the first vid. Went from sunny to shade. Is that just a cloud or time change, like a 2nd run?

Elevation change was just over 2700 feet. Matty, the color change was a cloud that was blocking the sun.
