New question here. AZT Grand Canyon to Flagstaff

Planning on taking a few days off to ride from GC to Flag (N to S)
    Via AZT.
It will be GF's first BP trip.
We will be riding at a leasurely pace.
How is the trail? Techy? Exposed? Water?
Place to leave vehicle in Flag?
    Thanks

No exposure, easy trail/mix of old doubletrack, water is not that plentiful (you don't want it to be), leave your vehicle at the Y at Schultz because if you don't end your bikepack with a ride down the Aspen Corner to SB Road segment on the AZT you're just screwing yourself.

Look up freeskier's post on his proposed trip to GC, he included a gpx.
He was starting at Bismarck Lake, saves you some grueling climbing up the AZT to Snow Bowl.

The GPX file is here, 'flag2GC-Onb' All waypoints are unreliable water sources, strictly taken off topo maps.

Metal: They are riding N->S, so will be heading downhill on that section. Maad is correct re: water, he would know the perils. I can't say I recall water sources along the way, but I only rode the section as far north as the Moqui Stage Station.
