Lost a cleat bolt here!! Granite Mtn??

Bell Pass sure seems a long way off:

    Dixie Mine procucing gold:

Made it! All down hill from here:

Crappy cell phone shot, but very cool to watch the moon rise over the golden McDowell's.

I'm still surprised at how fun that TT descent was. I did have cleat bolts in my stash of parts I lug around, but I do need to add chainring bolts to the collection.

Last Arizona Photo Friday before the move to Utah. Some pics of Anthem. The first pic is so quintessential Arizona. The prickly, intimidating cactus perched high above the valley below, seemingly warning desert outsiders to stay away.....seemingly saying "this is my territory, my desert." Yet, just below, the ongoing development of comfortable homes expands ever onward, paying little heed to the cactus' prickly thorns and encroaching further onto its territory. Just above this cactus, a T-Mobile Antenna eminates microwave signals, connecting cell phone users all over the world with this little spot of once isolated land. Will this Valley one day be filled with Targets, Walmarts, housing developments and movie theaters? Will anyone ever remember what this spot of land once looked like when it was empty, open and free? The future overtaking the past.

i found it ironic that the kitted-up guy leading did not get out of the way even though he was slower and clearly holding people up. I didnt mind cause it gave me a great chance to see the challenges and it was my first time down, but it was slightly bad form imo. nbd but next time I will run him ovah!!!

My weekly star contribution. Images for composite shot were taken last weekend at Painted Rocks Park west of Gila Bend while I was in search of Geminid meteors. Only caught one meteor (not in this set), but a night out under the stars is still fun.

That's a stunning one Kathleen - a little Ursae Minoris, some petroglyphs, and the deep AZ sky.
