The Arizona Trail Jamboree is a charity ride benefiting the Arizona Trail Association. 35 miles of sweet singletrack (one way), ending with free beer and schwag at Pistol Hill Road.

The date this year is January 15th, 2011.

How to sign up
Please make the suggested $35 donation directly to the Arizona Trail Association. If you go to the ATA home page (www.aztrail.org), we have a series of dropdown menu choices across the upper part of the screen. There is one named Donate. When you mouse-over it, you will see a list of choices and the first one is Make a Donation. Clicking on this takes you to our basic or generic donation page. Here is a direct link to this page in case you want to just use that:

https://www.aztrail.org/donate.html

Near the bottom of this page is a button that says PayPal Donate Now. It will take you to PayPal's website where they can enter the amount ($35) and make sure to input the following on item description: AZTJAMBOREE

Logistics
We will be meeting at 9am at Pistol Hill Road. See How to access the trail for directions the shuttle drop off and the finish at Pistol Hill Road.

BYO meat for the after ride festivities.

Map will be posted soon, but you can look at last year's route also.

Thank you to our supporters: Topofusion.com, Arizona Endurance Series, Dogfish HeadCraft Brewery, Arizona Trail Association and Hammer Products.

It's about 10 miles east of Tucson off of Old Spanish Trail click the "how to access the trail' link to get to the trailhead. If you are not familiar with where Old Spanish Trail is just do your favorite map search for Colossal Cave then look a bit west of the entrance for Pistol Hill.

Its hardtail friendly. I did it last year on the fully rigid and it was fine.
you rode everything rigid last year

this trail is perfect for hardtails the lighter the better

front suspension is always nice on a 38 mile day

a light weight FS bike would be nice

there's plenty of climbing in this one
