    Yup, I saw about 3 rattlesnakes in about 11 years in Prescott, but the ones I saw were Arizona Blacks...

    Ive only seen 2 or 3 black rattlers... all were at very high elevation 7000+

    About what elevation did you see it ? I have heard they do live as low as 4000...

    funny... I will say he is a very social snake... I was more than 15 feet away from him before he started to rattle... They don't typically rattle when you are far away from them like that... Maybe it was all that carbon dioxide I was spewing from that climb... I hear they can sense your breathing more than your movement...
