I am guessing GPS error based on his other tracks, and that ride. That ride he was mostly on the road with a few dabs on dirt. I have seen moto tracks out there, but it would be pretty ballsy to ride that section on a moto, not to mention to track it with a garmin edge and the post it publicly to strava.

I would not sweat it. No way it is humanly possible to ride that section in 31 seconds.

I suspect he stopped his GPS, did the climb, and started it again when he was done. Hence the straight lines and 0% elevation.

Ha! too funny...there's a dude up in Munds that posts stuff to strava on some of the dirt roads and 2 track where he averages in the 20's up steep stuff and does it for 40+ miles. SOB takes 5 KOM's from me in one fell swoop...flagged that bastards ride...either he's on a ATV or he's Lance Armstrong(on EPO).

My buddies and I ride PSP quite often and have questioned the Strava segments out there. Left us all scratching our heads.

I usually fall in the top third of a climbing segment and the lower half of a downhill one. For a guy with like a year and a half MTB experience, I think that's a good enough place to start.

It could also be somebody trying out one of those new zippy electric mountain bikes. This Stealth Bomber does 50mph.
