24 hours in the old pueblo. are you ready?

the time to register is coming soon. I have been a team captain for 4 years now, but everyone from years past is in the "well i dunno" phase right now. yea it was cold and wet last year. but I have some possible newbies on my roster this year. we are going down to pre ride tomorrow sept 16th. weather looks great. I was wondering if anybody else might be down that way, or for some up that way.

its always a great event and I am always grateful of the epic rides who put the whole event on. they do a fantastic job.
I used to see a lot of UFO's. However I just realized I'm simply bad at identifying things.

I'm really excited to do it again this year. Unfortunately our team captain wants to go off and do a 5-person coed team that doesn't include most of his 8-person team from last year, leaving us in the lurch.

Guess I'll put together my own team, because I am not missing it this year. Bummed because it wasn't very considerate of the rest of us (and I thought we all had a great time and pulled our own weight??), but grateful that he gave me a couple of weeks to figure something out and not miss registration.

Can't make it down for a pre-ride this weekend but will do one in the next month or so.

I missed it last year for the first time in years. I'm hoping to be back this year. I've only ridden it once (solo 2014) but have been supporting my daughters on teams. It's the best mtb party ever.

Well it doesn't appear as though I can pull enough people together for a 6 or 8 man team, so I may be looking to join a team of like minded folks.

I need to check in with my weather man. He taps into some long term models for OP every year.

Nice. I just don't want it to be too hot. I was fine with last years conditions.
