It's was by huge request believe it or not. Seems a majority of the females want to be off the courses before the testosterone starts flooding them

Much rather race in the cold than the rain- but rather crash in the rain than the cold!

My first ever MTB race was @ McD comp loops and I augered in on the Sport loop left hand berm. The slap to the ground hurt so damn much! Next year after that at White Tanks in the rain I crashed somehow on the tech loop drop on the back side (not sure how as I knocked myself out cold) but got on and somehow finished 3rd.

I think I saw Grav starting at 11am. Will see if I can find that again.

Tamen- Yeah you did- but thanks for letting me suck your wheel for a lap until I could "wake up". Still have absolutely no memory from the bottom of the switchbacks (frontside 1st lap) until third lap! My wife was pretty pissed that I didn't tell her until the next day!

Registration closes 1 hour before the scheduled race time. So say if he is a Cat. 3 19-29 he would have to register by 9:15 because his race starts at 10:15.

Also- I would call MBAA and see if they can let you sign him in, pre sign ro whatever. I am sure there is a way to get him out there without making it a big deal.

You can register ahead of time. I think the issue is 1) signing the waiver form, and 2) picking up the race chip and number. Obviously picking up the chip can't be done ahead of time...

But what about cooking breakfast for the family, and putting the dishes away?

I wish a few xc races could have been scheduled on Sunday. Our kid has soccer games on Saturday mornings, so it's either miss a race or miss her game. Kind of a bummer.
