tried to go vote this morning

but could not get past all the yes on 102 signs
there were mass people out in front of the polling place holding big banners and signs
gonna ride over there in about an hour and see if they all went to work, or church, by then..... hopefully a slightly shorter line

    early balloting

    is awesome!

i can drink, heckle and pontificate from the comfort of my own soapbox. In Maricope County, you can get signed up for permanent early ballots - mailed to your house for every single election.

    https://recorder.maricopa.gov/earlyv...vbrequest.aspx

Interesting article on cnn yesterday about the early voting turnout:

You're both wrong. Voting is done Monday nights for Dancing with the Stars. The results are aired on Tues nights.

No need to vote on a Tuesday, especially if you did that whole mail-in thang.

Well...returns reported on Google News are looking, um, pretty lopsided.

It's looking like McCain's going to have plenty of time to spend with his grandkids in retirement. Then again, the 2004 projections were giving us President Kerry for a few hours. :-/

Its looking way lopsided.....might be an early night. I'm hoping for some flip-flops on states they already called, just to give me an excuse to stay up and watch the results (and drink more beer).

My sources are indicating that a last minute addition to the ballot, Jesus christ, has just taken the lead. my sources are input to me though micro chips in my molars.

Even a Jesus/Buddha ticket couldn't beat Obama this year.

Please choose my response based on the message color-coded to your preference below *:

Democrats always take the early lead.

The rest of us are working all day and don't vote until later.

    Or:

It's still early. Give the Republicans a chance, they'll steal it later.

    * This equal-opportunity message brought to you by the fairness doctrine, and CactusJoe, who thinks presidents are neat-o, but is mainly concerned about where his next beer (or other bottle of coping juice) is coming from...

Holy smokes what a beatdown in the electoral college. Reassuring to see a clear spread in the popular vote as well.

It's hard to be tolerant of hate, yeah.

And I'm pretty sure neither Jesus nor Buddha would have anything to do with the "yes on 102" folks.
