I'm looking for trail information for mountain biking in the Shawnee National Park. Anybody know where or what trails are ridable... that is legal. I'm thinking all horse trails are dual use but not sure. Looking for someone with any information for the area. Thanks

I've been down ther a dozen or so times over the past 10 years. Cedar Lake Trail is probably the best marked and documented trail I've ridden down there. The trails are too numerous and completely unmarked. Be prepared to be lost 73% of the time and loveing being lost because the riding is awesome. Camp Cadiz, Fountain Bluff, and the expansive River To river trail are all other rides that I've explored in the Shawnee. Try the trail review section here and call any bike shop in Carbondale for more info on trails. Here's a link to the USFS site for Shawnee.
