Anyone been out at Case yet? I may go down to visit my brother in Manchester in a couple weeks and would like to know what the trails look like snow and mud wise.

Thanks
Louis

I live about 20 minutes from Case. The last of the snow will be melted probably today. Assuming we don't get too much rain between now and they you may be ok, if not, it could be a real mudfest. PM me closer to the date and I'll let you know how things are.

I went yesterday, conditions were pretty dry. There were a few muddy sections but not that bad. Here are some pictures (http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~jrp04005/photos/casemt/)

I went today, half expecting that I would have to abort the ride due to mud. I was suprised there was very little of it to be found. There was a lot of coooooooold water. My feet were numb by the end of the ride. Overall the trails are in excellent condition though. Seems that it will be/was a short mud season. The leaves are much more composted than in years past. I haven't ridden Case since the early fall, I forgot how hilly it is (besides being rockier than I remembered!).

I've heard a lot of good things about Case. I was even pretty surprised to see a write up about it in the new issue of Mountain Bike.
I may have to hook up with some of you locals this Summer to give me a tour of the place.
I rode Shenipsit once and popped a hole in the frame of my old C'Dale Raven on a downhill.
Was still fun though. Is Case near Shenipsit? How similiar is the riding?

I wonder if all this notoriety is going to mean Case gets even busier? Case is about 30 minutes from Shenipsit. Case is rockier and hillier than Snip, though somewhat in the same league. There are some awesome trails there (both places).

I doubt that small blurb in the mag will get many more riders to Case.
