From my research, it seems that the 2004 XT calipers can be run with 2003 XT levers and normal hubs (rather than the new 2004 Shimano ones)

Is this correct, and can the 2003 XT rotor be used? I've heard of a Hope Mono Mini also being used.

Hope mono mini/4 160mm discs will work, and also the older Shimano 160mm 6 bolt IS discs.

You can run any Shimano hyrdro levers with them and pretty much any rotor. I am running my '04s with M756 levers and Hope Gothic rotors.

Any 160mm rotor will work with them as will any shimano hydro lever.
