Go to the LBS in the area they should be able to help ya.
Also a good start is to get yourself a copy of "Backcountry Biking in the Canadian Rookies" by Doug Eastcott. Good source of info.

From when we rode there 5 years ago (MTBR Jasper Gathering), it is a lot more XC than FR. The riding is good though.
