Hey all you (all three of you, that is) dos niner owners. I'm building mine up, and it actually seems like a 108mm bb could work in there. I have an xtr 112 with room for 2 spacers on the non-drive side. 2 spacers is .25" which is 6.5mm. Do the math and a 108mm should work fine, yes?? Thanks for your thoughts.

You may want to set it up and look at the clearance with the tire when the chain is in the Granny and you top cog in the rear. If you move that chainline to far in, and use a wide tire, it could rub the der. on the tire. Check it out in the stand and disassemble if necessary.
