Are there folks out there who can weld a cable stop to my ti frame? I hate the cable stop for the front derailleur attached to seat tube. I much rather prefer that cable be routed through down tube. By the way, I am in boston area.

In addition to properly weld ti you need to completely submurge it in argon. Ti is a specialty try to find someone who does this on a regular basis, it probably wont be cheep either.

it will probably be more of a hassle than its worth considering that this is just a preference and not a problem.

good luck

Matt Chester will probably do it...

Seven Cycles and IF are both in Boston and both do ti, might be worth a call but I doubt they'll touch it unless they made the frame.

I'll second what Steve3 said, find a Ti framebuilder that way you're sure that they are familiar with thin Ti tubing, have access to Ti cable stops, and have the jigs to hold the cable stops in place during welding, making the job quick and painless.
