hi all -

I need to get a new pump and have been looking at the Silca Track Pump and also the Park Tools PFP-2 floor pump. Anyone familiar with either of these 2 pumps ?

I know nothing about the Park pump but I do know I've had my Silca for thirty years and it's still going strong. Yes I've worn out a couple or three chucks and the odd washer and it needs a washer again but all parts are easily available.

This was Parks first attempt within the pump market, and they had a little problem with the pump valve...not sure if they have corrected this issue or not. It looks like a nice pump, made by reputable company...would probably be a great choice

HOWEVER ,

Silca has been around for a very long time, and their pumps last a lifetime ( plungers will be replaced with in its duration) I went with silca because of their track record, the longevity that is mentioned from owners.....and the fact that rebuild parts are easily available. BUY silca.

good luck, Chad
