View Full Version : cannondale head shock stem suggestions

I have a cannondale super v w/an ultra fatty fork.
do i need a stem explicity for these shocks?
what's the shortest I can get?
any suggestions?
are there any guides for newbietards like myself?

You could probably use most any 1.5" stem, these days - maybe, but it's worth just sticking with the Cannondale stems for it. They do not suck, they will fit, and are available in a wide variety of length and rise to match what you need. Best advice is probably to hook up with a Cannondale dealer and order a stem that will fit you correctly on your bike.

Most other vendors that I'm aware of make 1.5" stems only for DH/FR bikes, so sizes are pretty limited.

Profile Design also supposedly makes the Stiffy OS stem to fit the Cannondale, but sizes are limited and I've not seen them around anywhere - probably custom order only.

I do not think that 1.5 stems and the Headshock stems are interchangeable. The steer tubes are slightly different diamiter.

I have a bunch of profile stiffy stems for headshok that i got to dial in the right fit. they work great. look on ebay. PM me if you want, I have about 3 of em.
