as due to a glitch, ediscount shipped my last big order in many seperate boxes (oh well, maybe I'll get actual moneys worth outta the shipping charges now). On the digiscale it was 375 grams. Hopefully the other freds will show up tommorow, along with the two Image E-stay frames.
Weren't they charging something like $7.99 for the first and $1 each additional tire? I know you're up North but was it the equivalent?

Yep, frames are $39.99, bikes are $79.99, forks are 19.99 for the first and 7.99 for each additional, most other items are 7.99 to 9.99 for the first one and $1 or $2 for each additional item. In reality, the K2 frame I got had about $26US in postage on it. So obviously in the case of frames they're padding the charges. But the three additional megaair forks paid for with the same order shipped as a seperate box and had $26.65 in postage (for $23.97 paid fee) so the trick is to get one do multiple auction payments at once with ediscount and take advantage of the combined rates. My next batch of auctions will have a couple more mega forks, LOTS of tires (Big Jims, LittleAlberts, Hurricanes, RRs), and perhaps a few more derailleurs, oh and some deore shifters.
The batch I'm expecting later today will be two Image frames, an insync fork, a couple rear derailleurs, a stem, ti skewers, another FF tire, a chain, a cogset, and a few other things i think. I
Did you test the noleen forks? How're they? I'm thinking of buying but i heard stories of leaks. Did you get the 80mm or 100mm?

I have 10 tires on the way. I couldn't stop myself. Big Jims and Racing Ralphs in 2.25. I suppose $17 shipping is reasonable for that many.
I read somewhere that the 2.25 RR has less rolling resistance than a Fast Fred. I'm wondering how good of an all-around tire it will be compared to the Big Jim.
Mabye running these lighter tires will compensate for my 600g rims.
