About 2 hours ago I threw on my workout clothes, cycling shoes and HRM strap for my daily winter trainer ride. ;)
I ended up with some crazy sounds/ideas in my head that I definitely needed to get out before actually starting my workout, so I picked up my electric guitar and switched on the amp. I immediately noticed a repeated ticking noise that came thru nearly as loud as the guitar... it took me a moment to realize it was my HRM.
I just spent the last 2 hours playing guitar using my heartbeat as drummer! - It's interesting because the harder you try to play, the faster your heartbeat will go. The calmer you are... well obviously, the lower your heartbeat will be. ;) It's a really wild way to totally zone-out. - Trying to play difficult passages while maintaining a nice steady low heartbeat is ...interesting! - It's really cool... if you play, you should try it! :D
I'm not sure if this will work with every possible setup. My guitar (that is, this one... because I have 15 of them. Heheheh) has crazy oldschool noisy unshielded single coil puckups. The signal radiating from the HRM cuts right through them. ;)
