Hey man...it was cool seeing the rig on the trail, and of course meeting "the man" himself Noel out on Amassa Back last Saturday! Kudos to the big man for dragging that 46lb beast up Amassa!

That rig is SICK! Now where did I stash all my allowance to buy one of my own??

The bike looks much smaller with someone standing beside it then it does on its own...
Or Noel is a giant guy.

Can't wait to get our first one.

Want to talk about a class act, Noel had said that he hoped to get us our first one by the time we went to the UCI world cup in Mont Ste. Anne, Quebec. He said that if he CAN'T get us a frame by then, he'll send us one of his demo ones to bring up there and show it around. I thought that was a great gesture, especially from a small company.

Regardless, we look forward to riding that at Ste. Anne. Actually, we'll probably be fighting over it all day.

I used to ski Mt St Annes all the time.... I have relatives that live about 5 minutes from there.

Esq.,

I think you'll find Noel an exemplary person in almost every way related to Knolly Bikes. When you set a standard as high as he has, and successfully work to maintain that standard, you show the industry how it ought to be done.

I would defy any other small company of Knolly Bikes' size, or even slightly larger, to match Noel's commitment to customer service.

It's pretty easy to throw money around when you design in-house and send to Taiwan for mfre. Your scalar profits are larger.

Noel's doing this out of passion.

Watch his company, watch it closely.

This was one of the things that attracted us to Knolly, and some of the other really, really, small companies that we deal with. We are small too, and guys like Noel know what its like to be small and running a business with passion for an engine, because he's still small. He's the type of guy that even when he does get big, and my money is on him getting big (not literally), he'll still be like he is today. It was interesting, one time talking to him on the phone, we both remarked how whenever we get on the phone with Dave Turner, we end up on the phone for a LONG time talking bikes. Got my phone bill a few weeks ago for that conversation with Noel.....58 minutes. My wife said, "My god man, who did you speak to in Canada for that long?"

"I dunno dear, must have been a mistake, I'll take care of it..." :)

Going to be one fun trip.

the almost unbelievable thing is riding the bike after meeting the man.

the man is impressive on his own, as we both know.

the bike is another world entirely. I don't care what you think is the best bike out there right now for FR in the 40+ lbs complete bike category, the V-Tach will make you rethink your whole MTB universe. ride one and know Nirvana. it REALLY IS that great a ride, that great a design, that solid a package. incredible.

Spent some time on the weekend helping Noel pack them up for interbike. The thing that shocks me the most is how good they already look and they are both just PROTOTYPES at this stage......

Craig, any idea of what the Delerium frame weighs in at?

CraigH

I think Noel mentioned it in the thread on the DH board where he was talking about the new frames.

I recall 80% of the V-tach.

Hey guys:

The target weight for the Delirium T is 9.25 pounds for a medium frame with a linear (DH) air shock like the Fox DHX Air or the Progressive Gravity Air. Add about a pound for a coil spring shock and add about 0.2 pounds for the 135 x 12mm through-axle option.

Again, these are target weights. Currently, the frame is about a half pound heavier right now, but there are a LOT of places that we can trim weight since some parts were pretty much designed based right on similar V-tach parts (like the BB / pivot block) and definitely over built for the Delirium T frame.

Cheers (from a very exhausted Noel).

:)
