Let me know when you get it built up so we can hook up for a ride. Are you having a building up party? fred3 01-21-2005, 08:33 AM Oooh red! Just like my Sheila(Loco) and Dorothy(mini). Nice Jim! CraigH 01-21-2005, 08:37 AM Hey Knolly riders, the Cdn bikes board needs a Knolly thread. No one has started one over there yet. http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38 lidarman 01-21-2005, 08:49 AM See how these people on mtbr are. Nobody probaby even noticed the wine!;) CraigH 01-21-2005, 09:07 AM PatT did: I won't tell the mrs about the wine if you don't The spilled wine matches the paint on Jim's new bike nicely! Evel Knievel 01-21-2005, 09:07 AM It is a fake wine spill. I hope the headset set has a 1.5" to 1.125" reducer or you are going to have a sloppy steerer tube. EK JimC. 01-21-2005, 09:33 AM fake wine as my plastic puke and dog poop wore out. Yes there's a reducer for the headset (http://www.go-ride.com/headsets/fsa_orbit1five.jpg). 3' of duct tape tightly wound. FSA Orbit Xtreme Pro 1.5 & 1.5 Reducer Cutting edge design. Have fun with the build and just take your time with it. Mine went together super smooth and was a most enjoyable experience. Lemme know when you are ready to ride and we will get some more of the Knolly gang out to do a tour on your maiden run. TJ (Knolly owner # ?????) I never even thought about what my S/N is....... That kinda slop might even ovalize that burly head tube! My fridge won't get fixed until Tuesday!! Can you believe every frickin appliance repair joint in the area is booked solid? It's dead fridge week in Vancouver! I'm gunna try to hop on the 3:30 fairy. Kn. Pat T. 01-21-2005, 10:05 AM Very nice Jim. Have fun with the build and just take your time with it. Jim Yea I have had it built for awhile, then I fawked up both legs on 7th, last ride was out at the shed with Tim, Ken, and Kelsea. We were going to ride last weekend, but it was snow/rain and we were hung over....so we went parts shopping instead. Bought me a Gazzi 2.6..... found a bunch of stuff I "need"....hehe Maybe we'll have to do Galbraith, there are some brand new trails up there I hear....maybe get Hammer out of the closet LOL JimC. 01-21-2005, 10:09 AM [QUOTE=K'Endo]Methinks EK was making reference to the fact that you said you have a 1.5 to 1.25 reducer, which would be very weird, since the steer tube standard is 1.125. Jim Coooool rig! Heavy metal monster!! - ray JimC. 01-21-2005, 10:29 AM Coooool rig! Heavy metal monster!! - ray sure, it's gonna be well over 40lb. Fortunately, it's much lighter in metric, only about 22Kilos. Now I gotta find work to pay for it  Jim 006_007 01-21-2005, 10:32 AM Hey Knolly riders, the Cdn bikes board needs a Knolly thread. No one has started one over there yet. http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38 Done. However it is completely hidden behind the zillion stickies that are at the top of that forum. Now I know why I never go over there! 006_007 01-21-2005, 10:34 AM sure, it's gonna be well over 40lb. Fortunately, it's much lighter in metric, only about 22Kilos. Now I gotta find work to pay for it  Jim You might be surprised at the weight Jim. I figure mine is mid 40s and you have a lighter fork then mine, a lighter wheelset then mine. My rear D is lighter (by 20g) so I expect to see you absolutely FLYING up the hills as well as down..... TJ Nick. 01-21-2005, 10:43 AM Looks flexy. ;) let's see some build-in-progress pictures ... and get it against the sofa where it belongs. Tarpon 01-21-2005, 10:54 AM Have fun building it up. I had a feeling that the ride Andy, TJ, and I did on Seymour was going to be the last one on the Shore for a while. I rode the Knolly at Galbraith so Pat T. has a good idea there. CraigH 01-21-2005, 12:27 PM I'll make it a sticky too! islander 01-21-2005, 12:56 PM That's colour is "beauty"! (insert DonCherry voice) These are good bike buildin' days Jim. Take your time, fart around getting er right cause you ain't missin no riding. Oh, and take some pics while yer at it. I've been twidlin with my bike for past week just gettin er dialed (had 'er Push'd) and watchin vid's just to get through this rain without a nervous breakdown. FAQ, can't even ski! I even had to drink some Fat Tire Ale I smuggled back from Baker to help remind me of Fruita days. Enjoy the ride, Mike Duncan! 01-21-2005, 01:35 PM That's colour is "beauty"! Enjoy the ride, Mike Bwwwwhahahaha .... rode into work to day on the X-canada trail along the N Bunraby shore. Some trails are an eroded, fissured mess, others are no different than they are on a dry summer day. Just goes to show you what small steps/design features can do for trail preservation. Anybody need a thesis topic? Nice bike, BTW, Jim. D. <-Didn't get swallowed up by a mudslide this morning. gonzostrike 01-21-2005, 06:16 PM sangre de cristo! bootyful, Jim. I'm salivating now until mine arrives. hopefully your rains will let up and you can get 'er out on the trails soon. Photo-John 01-21-2005, 07:16 PM It's a jelly! Congratulations, Mr. C. I took pictures of Knolly's bike in the Progressive booth at Interbike and I was impressed. He'd told me about it last year but I didn't get to see it. When I finally did see it in person, I wanted to rub up against it, it was soooo purty. I don't think it would be practical for the riding I do here, though. I think it looks like a kick ass Shore shuttler, though. Is that replacing your Bullet? Or am I hopelessly behind in Passion current events? 006_007 01-21-2005, 08:30 PM Is that replacing your Bullet? Or am I hopelessly behind in Passion current events? You are so like, last spring. Like that is like when a bunch of us like sold our bikes to invest in the Knolly's. :D AlanB 01-23-2005, 08:49 PM I never thought I'ld see Ken hop a ferry to Bowen just for some cold beer, but I guess some people get desperate when their fridge keels over. Does this mean we'll finally have a Sunday ride? I think a Knolly owner should pick the trail. I wouldn't count on anything on Seymour though. Mellow Yellow 01-24-2005, 07:59 AM Good looking steed, Jim. Looking forward to seeing you and It on the shore this season. K'Endo 01-24-2005, 09:03 AM C'mon Jim!! Lessee some photos! Kn. LyNx 01-24-2005, 09:30 AM WOW :D that's a totally sweet looking RIG Jim - I'm jealous of you guys who own those. Any pics of it built up yet? Guess next time I'm in the C'dian Rockies I'l have to pop over and try to hook up with you guys. Damn man just have to say again "SUWEeeeeeeeeeeeeet" Bike, most beautiful frame I've ever seen. Colour's just the right colour. |
