Who said girls can't be mechanically inclined? I build all my own bikes so I can only blame myself when something goes wrong. It is really a lot of fun and rewarding.

I just built up something very similar except it's a 29er with a steel fork. Very nice bike, congrats! B AZtortoise 01-17-2005, 04:53 PM that is cool! did you do the headsets and forks, too? this past weekend a friend(DJBiker from mtbr)and I installed new chainrings, a chain, and a cassette on my bike(I got tools for Christmas). DJ showed me what to do, and he provided some muscle a few times, but I did most of it. I am pretty good with hand tools so it felt pretty natural to me(though I messed up the chain  DJ bailed me out of that one). good lessons learned. next project: new cables and housing. What size did you get, and how tall are you? I'm worried that mine is too small for me. porterjack 01-18-2005, 09:41 AM That Moots is beautiful! Let us know how they ride. Also, nice to hear you are wrenching. I'm still learning. |
