The Burro Bike/ZVO pedal electric bike will be unvieled at the Tour of Borrego Bike ride coming up Saturday February 26th in Borrego Springs (Southern California Desert).
This system is based on the 20 inch wheeled Burro Bike and it is unique in that it uses a motor that drives the bike's rear gear drivetrain giving the motor 8 gears. This allows the motor to excell at not only hills but gives it a top speed that is usefull for commuting. The bike comes standard with NIMH batteries vs. the heavy SLA bricks used on most electric bikes. The bike also comes standard with a power guage watt meter which is usefull for getting maximum range.
This bike allows you to pedal unassisted, pedal assisted or just motor assisted in a very smooth seamless manner since the front crank freewheels.
